Galena Performance of Champions Results

The Raider Band had a most successful outing at the 2011 Galena Performance of Champions on Saturday October 8th. The band received 1st place in Class A and caption awards for best musical performance, best visula performance, best color guard and best percussion.
Way to go Raiders!

UNR Sierra Band Crusade 2011

The Raider Band will be participating in the UNR Sierra Band Crusade band contest on Saturday October 29 at UNR's Mackey Stadium. The bands schedule is:

7:45am - Band Rooms Opens
8:15 - Rehearsal
9:00 - Break/Load Trailer/Dress
10:00 - Load and Depart
11:00 - Warm-Up Time
11:45 - Performance Time
12:00 - Pictures/Lunch (provided)/Change
4:00 - Awards
5:30 - Approx. Return to RHS/Unload Trailer/Hang Uniforms

Nevada Day Rehearsal 10/28

The Raider Band will be rehearsing on Friday October 28th - Nevada Day - from 10:00am to 12:00 noon. This is the final full rehearsal before the UNR Sierra Band Crusade.

Grape Bowl 2011

The Raider Marching Band will be traveling to Lodi, CA on Saturday November 5th to compete in the Grape Bowl Classic field show contest. The band will travel via interstate motorcoach for this event. The cost of the charter is not included in the transportation fee therefore a supplimental travel fee is $30.00 is being charged to cover the bus cost and the gas cost for the equipment trailer. This fee is due by Friday October 21st. All fees must be paid by this date or the event will be cancelled. Please be sure to tell the school bookkeeper this is a band traval fee so it is posted to the correct account.

Damonte Marching Invitational 2011

The Raider Marching Band will be participating in the 2011 Damonte Marching Invitational on Saturday October 15th. The bands schedule for the day is:

8:30am - Band Room Opens
9:00 - Rehearsal
10:00 - Break/Change/Load Trailer
10:50 - Load and Depart
12:05 - Warm-Up Time
1:15 - Performance Time
5:10 - Awards presentation
6:30 - Approx. Return to RHS/Unload Trailer/Hang Uniform

Band Fees 2011-2012

The Band Fees for the 2011-2012 school year are:

Marching Band: $100.00 (all members)
Transportation: $25.00 (all members)
Percussion: $75.00 (percussionists only)
Color Guard: $50.00 (color guard only)

Please remit fees to the school bookkeeper. You can also pay fees via the Reed HS website. All fees are due now. Payment plans may be set up with the school bookkeeper. Please be sure to save all reciepts!
